Episcopal Academy defeats Germantown Academy in Inter-Ac showdown

Blake McHugh, Avery Curley and Taylor Trimble each scored four goals to lead Episcopal Academy to a 20-13 triumph over host Germantown Academy Tuesday in Inter-Ac League girls’ lacrosse.

Sammi Arbitman, Kelly Moore and Kate Ivory added two goals apiece for the Churchwomen (2-0, 2-0) while Kate Henrich and Amanda Jones tallied four goals apiece for the Patriots. GA (4-1, 1-1) is ranked 10th by Phillylacrosse.com.

Conestoga 10, Ridley 9

Brooke Campbell, Amy Bernier, Taylor Mallory and Christina Fiorentino each scored two goals to lead the host Pioneers (4-1, 2-0) to a Central League triumph over the Green Raiders (2-4, 0-2). Maryann Miller had three goals for Ridley and Kim Shoup posted 11 saves for Conestoga.

Downingtown West 15, D-town East 13

Jaymie Tabor pumped in seven goals as the Whippets (6-0, 4-0) won the intra-district and Ches-Mont National grudge match with the Cougars (5-1, 2-1). Sarah Phillips added three goals for eighth-ranked West while Jordan Stevenson was strong at midfield Kelly Joran led ninth-ranked East with four goals and Kat Sasko added three.

Radnor 23, Strath Haven 9

Courtney Campbell scored five goals while Kelly Barnes and Beth Ellis added four apiece as the host and top-ranked Raiders (4-0, 2-0) looked dominant in the Central League contest. Emily Garrity had five goals for the seventh-ranked Panthers (5-2).

Great Valley 16, Milton, Ga. 6

Keelin Hood had eight goals and two assists while Emily Ellisen and Haley Sheehan added four goals and an assist each to pace the fourth-ranked and host Patriots (4-0) past the two-time Georgia state champions. Kim Wenger added five assists for the Pats.

North Penn 17, Neshaminy 5

Julie Mineweaser collected six goals and four assists while Abby Hartman also scored six goals to lead the visiting Maidens (4-1, 3-0) to the Suburban One National Conference rout. Kirkland Lewis posted six saves for North Penn.

Villa Joseph Marie 17, Gwynedd Mercy 6

Brigid Crane scored six goals while Steph Lawall collected four goals and three assists and Jess Glace posted 11 saves for the host Jems (2-1, 2-1) in the Catholic Academies League game.
