College wrap: Villanova women triumph in double overtime over Navy behind McKenna’s seven goals

    Senior Taryn McKenna scored seven goals, including two in overtime, to help lift Villanova (3-6 overall) to a 15-14 victory over host Navy in a women’s lacrosse game played here on Tuesday night.

Lehigh 20, La Salle 7

    Nora McGirkin (Penn Charter), Jill Davis (Ridley) and Ashley Rutz each scored twice for the Explorers (3-4). Sara MacIntyre scored once for Lehigh (6-3).

Division II

Wilmington (DE) 23, Holy Family 13

     Gina Mansi led HF with five goals.

Chestnut Hill 18, Dominican 17

    Carley Glass scored eight goals and Katie Donovan (Archbishop Carroll) and Maryanne Glass had five each for CHC (5-2).

Division III

Cabrini 8, Scranton 7

    Erin Nollen (Henderson) scored four goals for Cabrini (3-2).

Haverford College 18, Ursinus 16

    Josie Ferri (Pennsbury) notched six goals to lead Haverford (7-1) to the Centennial Conference win. Lisa Clark (Penncrest) led Ursinus (1-5) with four goals.

Swarthmore 16, Gwynedd Mercy College 10

    Ama Vachal and Marie Mutryn scored five goals apiece for the Garnet (6-1) while Colleen Dellostretto (Upper Moreland) scored five goals for Gwynedd (4-3).  

Men

Drexel 9, Denver 8

   Colin Ambler (Abington) and Joe Wojciechowski twice each for the Dragons (4-4).
