Due to demand Baggataway Lacrosse Club has expanded its program to include Rising Sophomores, JR/SR’s and Baggataway Elite High School teams in addition to the already planned U11, U13 and U15 teams.
Tryouts will be held on Saturday, October 8th on Victory Field (Turf) at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS.
To handle this expansion Baggataway has added a group of highly-experienced staff, that includes over 60 years of coaching experience with summer all star programs. The staff includes former pro players, current college coaches, current & former college players, and current high school coaches.
The staff will include the following:
Brian Dougherty-2x USA Goalie and current Head Coach at Chestnut Hill College.
Joe Karpinski – Former University of New Haven LSM and current Asst. Coach at Downingtown East HS.
Tony Verna – Former Ridley and St. Joe’s Midfielder and current Great Valley HS Head Coach.
Rick Smith – Current Head Coach at North Penn HS.
Ray Kendrick – Former Ridley HS standout and current Asst. Coach at Eastern University.
Kyle Garzia – Current Asst. Coach Cabrini College.
Ryan Greer – Former Ridley standout and Asst. Coach at St Joe’s Prep.
Kevin Wallace – Current Head Coach at Eastern University and former Ursinus College defensemen and captain.
Adam Eddinger – Current Asst. Coach at Chestnut Hill College.
Jason Orlando – Current Asst. Coach at Springfield HS (Delco) and former Caption at Ursinus College.
Ryan Mehan – Former Bonner standout and captain at University of Scranton.
Bryson Craft – Current Lehigh University Defensemen, HS All American 2010.
Dana Wilber – Current Drexel University Caption and Defensemen.
Austin Kaut – Current Penn State All American Goalie and Springfield HS All State Goalie
Mike Paoline – Downingtown West starter at defense and St. John’s University commit
Baggataway youth teams will attend some of the top tournaments in country, including Summer Slam, TriStates National Festival, Patriot Games and one more to be determined. At the youth level the club focus will be on fundamentals, maximizing lacrosse IQ and field awareness and preparing them to contribute at the high school level.
The high school teams will attend The Summer Slam, TriStates and two more tournaments that will provide top exposure for college. The coaching staff, including current college coaches in NCAA DI, II, and III levels, can provide insight into the how the recruiting process works.
Tryouts will be held Saturday October 8th on Victory Fields at Plymouth Whitemarsh HS. Youth will begin at 1 pm and HS will begin around 3 pm. Coaches will email exact times for age groups prior to Oct 8th.

There is no charge for tryouts. Evaluations will be under the direction of Team USA Goalie Brian Dougherty and coordinated by Joe Karpinski with the assistance of the Baggataway Lacrosse Club Staff.
