Salesianum School (DE) rising senior face-off specialist/midfielder Kyle Gangemi has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Loyola College.

Salesianum School rising senior Kyle Gangemi has committed to Loyola

Gangemi won 68 percent of his face-offs last season, helping the Sals win the Delaware state championship. He plays club lacrosse for Team 302.

Gangemi, who has achieved First or Second honors every quarter at Salesianum, plans to major in Business.

“I chose Loyola for its academic and lacrosse reputation,” he said. “When I went on my visit the coaches were very welcoming and I felt like it was a place would really enjoy going to college.

“I knew that I wanted to go to school in Maryland and the facilities at Loyola were also very impressive.”

Gangemi is the second Salesianum rising senior to commit to Loyola; defenseman Justin Verratti is the other. Also for the Sals, rising junior Sean Giampietro (Ohio State, midfielder), and rising senior Dillon Walker (Marist, attackman) have committed to Division I colleges.

“I’m excited for the upcoming season,” Gangemi said. “The goal, like every year, is to win a state championship. We lost a great class of seniors but there is a group of young guys who are ready to step up and fill those roles.”

Gangemi wished to thank his parents and coaches for helping him throughout the recruiting process
