HEADstrong Foundation to hold inaugural Lime Light Gala on March 25

November 29, 2010 by Chris Goldberg

The HEADstrong Foundation has announced that on March 25 at the Hyatt Regency in Philadelphia it is holding the Inaugural Lime Light Gala, an event that will serve as a major fundraiser in the efforts to help cure blood cancer.

The Foundation was founded by Ridley graduate Nick Colleluori, a Division 1 lacrosse player, who lost his battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma four years ago today at the age of 21. He was attending Hofstra University.

Lime green is the color designated for blood cancer awareness, and the HEADstrong Foundation is committed to finding a cure for blood cancers, and helping the families struggling with these diseases, particularly young adult
patients.

Philadelphia lacrosse coach and support Dan Keating and his wife, Sarah, have graciously agreed to be the honorary Chairpersons.

For more details about the event, please visit http://www.headstrongfoundation.org/lime-lightgala. The HEADstrong Foundation hopes to make this an annual event.

Options available:
PREMIUM SPONSORS: Sponsorship packages are available. Cheryl Colleluori, President and Nick’s mother will gladly meet you to review these opportunities. She can be reached at info@headstrongfoundation.org.

GALA TICKETS: Show your support by attending the event. Visit the website and
complete the Gala Form to receive your invitation or purchase your tickets via the online store. Cost is $270 per person.

MONETARY DONATIONS: Are gladly accepted via credit card through the
Foundation’s website under the “donate” tab or by check made payable to HEADstrong Foundation and sent to the address listed below.

The gala will celebrate the life of Nick and those who have overcome this disease. Proceeds from the gala will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the research efforts of Dr. Stephen J. Schuster at the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
