Josh Caven had three goals and one assist and Calvin Hopkins scored twice as host Pennsbury defeated Perkiomen Valley, 8-5, today in a boys’ District 1 playoff game.
The ninth-seeded Falcons (17-2) advance to meet host Hatboro-Horsham Thursday night at 7 p.m. in the second round. Perk Valley finished at 12-7.
Kenneth Warren added a goal and three assists for the Falcons and Ricky Jutkiewicz had a goal and an assist while Shawn Caven (won 12 of 14 face-offs) scored once and Drew Sweetland made 12 saves.
Pete Sclafani led PV with two goals and an assist while TJ Tagg had a goal and an assist.
