Ian Reilly

High School: Haddonfield Memorial High School, NJ

Graduation Year: 2016

Position: Goalie

College Choice: NJIT (ConnectLAX college profile)

Club Affiliations: SouthShore Lacrosse, Blue Chip 225 National Elite

Lacrosse Honors: Haddonfield Varsity as freshman & sophomore, Blue Chip 225 Rising Sophomore All-Star, Dick’s Mid-Atlantic Cup Champions, Dicks National Tournament of Champions, & Blue Chip 225 National Elite Team

What will you major in/study? Business

Why did you choose NJIT? “I chose NJIT for the size, academic reputation, and to also compete at the highest level of lacrosse. When I first arrived on campus I knew it was the perfect fit for me. The ability to stay in-state is also a huge benefit for my family and me. Also I look forward to being a part of this new lacrosse program and helping build tradition with the team.”

Outlook for 2015 HS season? “We are a very young team. Each year we are getting more and more freshmen through our youth program. We have a great group of guys and we look forward to improving and getting further into playoffs each year.”

Thank You: “First I would like to thank my family and friends for all of their support and encouragement throughout the years. I would especially like to thank my parents and older brother Shane, for always believing in me and never giving up on my dream of playing division 1 lacrosse. I am very grateful for all that they have done.

“Next I’d like to thank JC Valore and the entire Southshore staff, for allowing me to be a part of such a great program and helping guide me throughout this recruiting process.

“In addition, I would like to thank my Haddonfield Memorial coaches: Damon Legato, Justin Hawkins, and Matthew Balkonis for pushing me in practice everyday.

“Also a special thanks to Ted Spencer, Charles Simmons, Chris Anderson, and Brian Wolfeld for helping me become a better lacrosse player and person.”

Other schools considered: Robert Morris, Wagner, Eastern, Saint Joe’s, Salisbury, Drexel
