Shawnee High School (NJ) 2018 defenseman Brett Funk has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Why did you choose PSU? “I chose Penn State for its great athletics, academics, and beautiful campus. I’ve grown up spending my holidays in State College with family and knew that I’ve always wanted to go there. After meeting and speaking with Coach (Jeff) Tambroni and his staff, I really felt like PSU was the perfect fit for me.”
Outlook for 2015 HS season? “As a freshman I’m really looking forward to joining an awesome squad at Shawnee. We have great talent all over the field. I cannot wait to play this spring.”
Other comments: “I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me every step of the way. Also I would not have had this opportunity without my Dukes/Big 4 Coaches Billy McKinney, Ebe Helm, Eric Gregg, Jason Christmas and all of their support.
