High School: Penn Charter

Graduation Year: 2015

Position: LSM/Defense

College Choice: United States Naval Academy (formerly committed to Fairfield)

Club Affiliation:
Dukes LC

Major lacrosse honors:
Peter Ortale Scholarship Recipient

Academic honors, service projects: Honors, Penn Charter Day of Service

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “The Naval Academy is truly the perfect fit for me as a student-athlete. Academically, the Academy speaks for itself; it provides a world-class education and generates future opportunities unlike no other. Coach (Rick) Sowell, Coach (Ryan) Wellner, and Coach Reppert have built a very strong program in their three seasons at the Academy, and I look forward to playing for them at a place with such rich athletic traditions. On my visit, every player was extremely welcoming and personable, and I felt I could fit right in with them. Lastly, the ability to graduate as a Naval Officer and serve my country is truly an honor and what I look forward to the most.”

What is your team’s outlook for the season? “We graduated a strong group of seniors last year, mostly offensive. Hopefully some younger guys, alongside our upperclassmen, will be able to step up on the offensive side. Defensively, we have most of the starting group from last season, with some strong additions as well. The Inter- Ac is always competitive, and Coach McDonough always schedules strong out of league competition, so I am really looking forward to this upcoming season.”

Other comments:
“I would like to thank my family for their support throughout this entire process. Without them, none of this would have been possible.”
