Under Armour® , Inc. (NYSE: UA) and Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc. announced that the tryouts for the 2013 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic Underclass Philadelphia girls’ regional team will take place Sunday, June 2nd from 8am to 4pm at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy.
Players from the graduating classes of 2014-2016 are eligible to participate in the open tryout.
The three-day Under Armour Underclass Tournament will take place July 5–7 at Towson University near Baltimore. The weekend will include competing male and female regional teams from Baltimore, Long Island, Midwest, New
England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, South, Upstate New York, Washington, D.C. and West.
The Philadelphia regional team will be led by coaches Jennifer Duckenfield (Agnes Irwin), Lorraine Beers (Archbishop Carroll), and Pam Wernersbach (Boyertown).
Athletes have the choice to try out for any region, however, the region that a player tries out for is the region they will represent if they are selected for the team.
The regional evaluators and coaches will select players for the Underclass Uncommitted Games after the final regional teams are picked and will face-off on July 6. The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic Underclass Tournament is held in conjunction with the Under Armour All-America Game on July 6. Only 88 of the nation’s top Male and female high school seniors will be named Under Armour All-Americans, earning the sport’s most prestigious honor.
