Delaware girls’ state semifinals: Cape Henlopen, Tower Hill advance to title game

Jenna Chodos scored five goals to spark host Tower Hill to a 12-8 win over Archmere Academy Tuesday in the semifinal round of the Delaware Girls’ Interscholastic State High School Lacrosse Tournament.

Megan Cobb and Amanda Wakefield each added two goals for the Lady Hillers (14-3), who advance to Thursday’s championship game vs. top-seeded Cape Henlopen (16-1) at a site and time to be determined. cape Henlopen defeated Ursuline, 20-7.

Archmere was led by Charlotte Rath (three goals) and Alyssa Salvitti (two goals).

Cape Henlopen will be going for its fifth state title in a row. The Lady Vikings got five goals from Anna Frederick, four from Allie Yeager, three from Karalyn Joseph and two each from Sara Young and Lizzie Frederick.

Laura Hurff led Ursuline with three goals while Brooke Schumesser and Mary Abram each had two. Abram scored her 100th career goal.
