Friends Schools League semifinals: Westtown, Shipley boys advance; Friends’ Central, GFS girls move on

Clay McKee pumped in eight goals to lead host Westtown School to an 18-10 victory Tuesday over Academy of the New Church in a Friends schools League boys’ lacrosse semifinal.

Westtown, the No. 2 seed, will play at four-time defending champion Shipley School in the title game on Friday at 4 p.m.
Evan Mok-Lamme added four goals and two assists and Matt Munts had three goals and an assist for Westtown, which seized a 10-4 halftime lead.

Shipley School 19, Moorestown Friends 7

The top-seeded Gators advanced as Andrew Wofford collected six goals and an assist.

Tate Gallagher (three goals, two assists), James Lee (three goals) and Drew Silvera (three goals) also led the attack for Shipley while Chris Verdeur had five groundballs and an assist and David Wolfson added five groundballs.

Girls
Friends’ Central 24, Shipley School 8

The second-seeded Phoenix coasted into the title game Friday at Germantown Friends behind the scoring of Ashley Tedesco and Emma Dahle, each with six goal and four assists.

Carlie Ladda had five goals and an assist for Shipley.

Germantown Friends 16, Moorestown Friends 7

Top-seeded GFS got three goals each from Grayson Melby and Greta Meyer to earn the home berth in Friday’s title game.

Alaina Shivers had three goals for Moorestown Friends.
