Saturday’s Delaware HS roundup:

Boys

Delmar 11, St. Thomas More 4

Four goals by Larry Gilmore, and two each by William Atkins and Ernest Leatherberry paced the Delmar Wildcats to an 11-4 win over St. Thomas More.

Delcastle 10, William Penn 8

Four goals by Samuel Droshen, and two goals by Jesse Reeder paced the Cougars of Delcastle to a 10-8 win over the Colonials of William Penn. For the Colonials, Eric Mabry and the Arslan brothers (Emre and Ramazan) each scored twice.

Charter 16, Hodgson 4

Andrew Kearns had six goals, and four by Robert Johnston, three by Kevin Clark and two by his brother Jacob Clark paced the Force of Charter to a 16-4 win over the Silver Eagles of Hodgson. For the Silver Eagles, Cory Melvin led with three goals.

Friends School 17, St. Andrews 6

Five goals by Sam Carney, four by Ben Hansen, three by Sean Kirkpatrick, and two by Patrick Pearce paced the Quakers of Friends School to a 17-6 win over the Cardinals of St. Andrews. For the Cards, Spencer Peet led with two goals.

Sanford 10, A.I. DuPont 8

Four goals by Brett Humphreys – including his 100th career goal – along with four by Jacob Emmanual and two by Jahni Love paced the Warriors of Sanford to a 10-8 win over the Tigers of Alexis I DuPont High School. Joseph Pirozzi led the Tigers with five goals while Chris Daley had four, including his 100th career goal.

St. Mark’s 13, Brandywine 1

Four goals by Derek Jackson and two by Dalton Ziemba paced the Spartans of St. Mark’s to a 13-1 win over the Bulldogs of Brandywine High.

Girls

Charter 14, St. Andrews 11

Four goals each from Morgan Lamey and Alex Mash, three by Kaitlin Reed and two by Emily Ritter paced the Lady Force of Charter to a 14-11 win over the Cardinals of St. Andrews. Joan Oates and Margaret Whiteman recorded three goals each for the Lady Cardinals.

Middletown 18, Brandywine 6

Four goals each by Holly Hamman and Allison Pantazes, and three each byKristin Rossi and Kathleen Thompson and Emily Pantazes paced the Cavaliers of Middletown to an 18-6 win over the Bulldogs of Brandywine. Alex Jordan led the Bulldogs with three goals followed by Holly George with two.

Mt. Pleasant 12, Appoquimink 9

Five goals by Julia Walker and two by Olivia Lundstrom paced the Lady Green Knights of Mt. Pleasant to a 12-9 win over the Lady Jaguars of Appoquimink. For the Lady Jags, Mckenzie Marvel led with five goals followed by Delaney Christo with three.

St. Thomas More 14, Glasgow 2

Anna Kelly’s three-goal performance and two each from Jenna Wilson and Nicole Miller paced St. Thomas More to a 14-2 win over the Glasgow Dragons.

Caesar Rodney 20, Concord 7

Kendall Olson’s eight-goal performance along with four by Jennifer Northern, and three by Megan Card and Delaney Steele paced the Lady Riders of Caesar Rodney to a 20-7 win over the Lady Raiders of Concord. For the Lady Raiders, Heather Estle led with three goals followed by two by Chelsea White.

Sanford 14, Alexis I DuPont 11

Four goals each by Kelsey Mandell and Olivia Thompson, and two by Asiyah Frank and Lucy Benson paced the Lady Warriors of Sanford to a 14-11 win over the Lady Tigers of Alexis I DuPont. For the Lady Tigers, Elizabeth Shields led with five goals followed by Kristin Nagle with two.
