Friday’s boys’ HS highlights: Wissahickon, CB West win one-goal games

Tommy Monaghan scored the game-winner and had three goals and an assist as visiting Wissahickon rallied for an 8-7 victory Friday over Plymouth Whitemarsh in Subuuban One American Conference boys’ lacrosse.

The Trojans rallied from a 6-5 deficit to outscore the Colonials 3-1 in the fourth quarter while improving to 7-2 in the league and 9-4 overall.

Brooks Melvin had two goals and Tyler Freas posted 11 saves for the Trojans.

Jake Brown led PW with a hat trick, and Corey Kelly had two goals and two assists while Riley White was credited with 15 saves in goal.

Central Bucks West 7, Souderton 6, 2 OT

Attackman Jimmy Seykot hit a cutting Corey Schott for the double overtime game winner as the Bucks improved to 6-6 overall and 4-4 in the Suburban One Continental.

The Bucks took a 5-3 lead into halftime and still had a 5-4 lead heading into the final quarter when the Indians rallied to knot the score.

Corey Schott led the Bucks with the hat trick while Riley Kratzke had a goal and three assists and Mike Harvan made 14 saves.

Ridge Schultz and Tyler Macdougall led the Indians with two goals each.

The Bucks held a 32-20 advantage in shots, but Souderton’s Remi Reeves was a standout in goal with 22 saves.
