It was a bit of a reunion for Downingtown West head coach Tom Slate when his Whippets faced visiting Downingtown East Tuesday night in Ches-Mont League boys’ lacrosse.

Slate coached the Cougars for seven years and led them to the 2007 state championship. He returned this year as West coach after coaching professionally in the MLL and NLL.

Kyle Lauletta had two goals and an assist and Kevin Meakim scored twice while Brandyn o’Connel.ll had a goal and three assists for Downingtown East (6-5, 4-2).

The Whippets (6-4, 3-2) got two goals and an assist from Matt Logan and 13 saves from Alex Ataifar.

Avon Grove 8, Kennett 7, OT

Mitch Cross had four goals and an assist for the Panthers.

Spring-Ford 15, Owen J Roberts 12

Paul major collected four goals and five assists and Troy Szostek had four goals and three assists to help Spring-Ford top Owen J. Roberts in the completion of a rain-suspended PAC-10 showdown.

Chris Daly tallied three goals for the Aces in the Central League win.

Dave Talda scored three for Marple Newtown.
