This camp is designed to help players of all ability levels improve their game with a specific focus on positional development. All four of the individualized programs run simultaneously. This ensures that after the teaching takes place you can put the new knowledge to work and test yourself in live game action!
The Division I Midfielder
The most important position in the game today…THE MIDFIELD; the Division I Midfielder is complete in all facets of his game. He can score, feed the ball, play defense, create transition opportunities, and do all the little things in between. We want to help young midfielders learn fundamental skills and tactics that will allow them to be successful all over the field. During camp attention will be given to all of the following areas:
Individual Defense – Stance, Footwork, Approach, Checking
Team Defense – Reading Dodgers, Slide Timing and Technique, Basic Defensive Systems
Between the Lines – F/O and Wing Play, Open Field Ground Balls, Dodging in Transition
Individual Offense – Shooting on the Run, Pressure Stick-work, Feeing on the move.
Team Offense – Reading Slides, Off-ball Movement, Basic Motion Sets.
Developing the True Attackman
In order to become a true attackman, one must possess the four main skill sets: feeding, dodging, off-ball movement, and shooting. Through a variety of different drills, our coaches will help you become a more accurate feeder, a quicker dodger, a smarter off-ball player, and an improved shooter. Our sessions will involve individual skill development focused on the fundamentals of the attack position. Each attackman will have the opportunity to showcase what he has learned in live game situations. Every day of camp will include full-field games and a touch of box lacrosse. More importantly, at the end of camp, each attackman will have a number of different drills that he can use on his own in order to become the true attackman!
$475 (plus 3% CC fee) – (Overnight) Attack
Defense from the Ground Up!
“Defense wins championships” and that is why developing your own individual skills are important. College defensemen are no longer the prototypical bulky, slow footed linemen. Now more than ever the college defensemen are more involved in every aspect of the game. We realize the need for individual instruction and we will cover every aspect of defensive play while creating a fun-filled experience for each camper. Daily games competitions will allow campers to apply the defensive concepts into live play!
Fundamental Focus Points:
The Art of Checking
Stick-work and Clearing
Footwork and Approach Angles
Navigating the Transition Game
And Much More
