Monday’s girls’ HS highlights: Haverford High edges Avon Grove; Moorestown keeps rolling

Melissa Brigandi scored the game-winner with 1:36 to play Monday, lifting Haverford High to a 13-12 non-league triumph over host Avon Grove.

Amanda Case scored six goals for the Fords (7-2) and Jess Lyons added a pair.

Corinne Militana led Avon Grove with five goals and Chelsea DiIonno had 16 saves.

Central Bucks East 13, Council Rock South 12

Alex Law (two goals, two assists) scored the game-winner with 1:13 left and mary Kate Schwartz had four goals and an assist for East.

Villa Joseph Marie 19, Sacred Heart 9

Kristin Fitzpatrick erupted for 10 goals and two assists for VJM in the Catholic Academies win.
Jenna Palumbo had three goals for Sacred Heart.

Methacton 17, Pope John Paul 5

Ellie Schmidt and Sara Hughes each had four goals and two assists to lead te Warriors to the PAC-10 win.

Moorestown 18, Northern Burlington 2

Marie McCool had two goals and two assists as No. 1 Moorestown (6-0) kept rolling.

Jenkintown 19, Lower Moreland 6

Emma Dillon had five goals and two assists and Haley smith scored five goals to lead the Drakes to the Bicentennial League triumph.

Devon Felix and Lasell Campbell each had three goals for Lower Moreland.

Southern Lehigh 12, Parkland 10

Cailyn Breski made 14 saves and Katelyn Ambrose scored four goals to lead Southern Lehigh.

Souderton 18, Pennridge 12

Amber Lambeth (one assist) and Natalie Bulgier each scored six goals to lead the Indians to the Suburban One Continental victory.

Interboro 17, Sun Valley 11

Sami Barnett collected seven goals and two assists to lead the Bucs to the victory.

Wissahickon 16, Springfield (Montco) 5

Lauren Irvine scored five goals and Zoe Gomez added four goals and two assists while Laura Frankenfield had two goals and five assists for the Trojans.

Phoenixville 15, Perkiomen Valley 5
Zoe Bullota had four goals and an assist and Angie Hayde added four goals for the Phantoms in the PAC-10 win.
