Garnet Valley junior attack Sabrina Fusco has made a verbal commitment to play Division II lacrosse at Millersville University.

What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose Millersville? “I considered other schools like UConn, University of Colorado, Temple and Amherst, but I loved the adorable location of Millersville and everything about the college is perfect for me athletically and academically.
“I am thinking of pursuing an education degree and Millersville is a top University in that discipline.
“I fell in love with the coaches the first time I met them. Coach (Mia) Hall is not only a great coach; she has already become a mentor to me both on and off the field. I can’t wait to be a Maruauder!”
Outlook for your High School team? “We graduated some great seniors but that is not stopping us. I’ve played with most of this team (the 2014 class) since I was in 3rd grade and we are great when we play together – I have faith in us. I’m excited to play for our new coach (Purvis); it will be a challenge like it is every year but no matter what we do or how far we go, I know we will have worked hard, had fun and played with heart.”
Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for guiding and encouraging me. My Dad gave me my athleticism and my Mom gave me my persistence and heart.
“I couldn’t have achieved any of this without my club team-the Brandywine Majors and the best coach ever, Donna Coyne. You are a gift and I aspire to be like you on and off the field. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for how much I appreciate everything that you have done for me.
“A huge shout-out to my family, friends, and teammates, I simply could not have achieved any of this without all of you. You are all my family and forever will be.”
