Saturday’s women’s D1 roundup: La Salle wins in OT on Brostrand goal

Caitlyn Brostrant (Camden Catholic) scored early in the first overtime as the host La Salle women’s lacrosse team defeated Central Connecticut State, 8-7, on Saturday.

The Explorers (7-1) extended their best start in program history in a game that they never trailed.
Lauren McDermott (North Penn) had two goals and an assist while Brostrant and Katelyn Fay (Henderson) each scored twice and Melanie Sarcinello (Marple Newtown0 had a goal and two assists.

Virginia 9, Princeton 7

Sarah Lloyd and Jaci Gassaway each had two goals for the Tigers (3-2).

San Diego State 19, Temple 12

Jaymie Tabor (Downingtown West)led the Owls (5-2) with a six goal outburst, a career-high for the junior. Stephany Parcell (Interboro)recorded three points with two goals and an assist.
