Andrew Woffard and Cory Rayfield each scored three goals as host Shipley School opened its 2013 boys’ lacrosse season with an 8-6 win over Wyoming Seminary.
Chris Verdeur and David Wolfson stood out on defense for the Gators along with Christian Whyte and the entire core D. Freshman goalie Ian Walsh made 13 saves for the win.

The Quakers fell to 0-2 in the loss to the No. 1 team in the country.
Dean Roseman, Nick Bambino and Drew Murray scored for Penn Charter and freshman goalie Sean McKee was a standout with 13 saves.
Boy’ Latin’s Shack Stanwick had four goals and two assists.
