The Hoyas trailed by as many as three goals in the first half, but redshirt junior Knarr won nine of his 11 face-off attempts after halftime, going 13-for-19 on the afternoon, while picking up 12 ground balls.

“I thought Tyler Knarr was awesome today,” Hoyas coach Kevin Warne said. “It’s unique facing off with a long stick, but Tyler is quick enough to get the ball out and he did a great job.”

Junior attackman Jeff Fountain scored on an assist from redshirt junior Zac Guy with 2:04 left in overtime to win it for the Hoyas (1-1, 0-0 BIG EAST).

Sophomore midfielder Billy Flatley (Conestoga) had three caused turnover to give the Hoyas another spark.

Gabe Voumard (St. Augustine Prep) had a goal, two assists and four groundballs for Navy (2-2).
