Club Affiliation: Ultimate Goal NJ

What will you major in/study? “I am still deciding between PreMed or Psychology. I want to go into Occupational Therapy or some sort of Rehabilitation Psychology.”

Why did you choose Oberlin? “I didn’t really choose Oberlin it sort of chose me. I was never expecting to fall in love with a small liberal arts college.

“It all started when I got an email from a coach I had had during fall ball at a Florida tournament, Jacqueline McDevitt. I had loved her and her coaching so I went to go check out the school. I wound up falling in love with it the moment I stepped onto the campus. As I toured the facilities and campus I came to learn of just how academically excellent the school was and learned about it’s very well known science program, which was definitely a major plus since I want to go into the science field.

“I also came to love the small quaint town (Oberlin) the college is in and I am pretty sure I have never met such nice people before in my life. Once I spent time with the team and got to know them along with their school it truly became a no brainer. They are all hard working individuals who are looking for success. In addition to Coach McDevitt’s approach to coaching I had no doubt in my mind that Oberlin was a perfect fit for me.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “Last year my HS team won the Mercer County Tournament and made it to our sectional State finals. We only lost four seniors and we are gaining some fresh new talent along with the strong players we already have. I believe if we continue with our hard work, dedication, and consistent improvement of skills, we will have a very good chance of becoming back to back MCT champs and even finally bring home the banner for winning States.”

Additional Comments: “I just want to thank my parents. If it wasn’t for them pushing me to try lacrosse in the seventh grade I would not be having the future I have ahead of me.

“I know they were not expecting me to come home the first day announcing that I was going to be the goalie but they have never been more supportive. They gave up a lot for me to be in a different state every weekend during the summer and fall since they were my chauffeurs and fans.

“They taught me to never give up on my dreams and to never stop fighting for what I want. For that, I am able to fulfill my dream of playing in college and so I am forever grateful.”
