Cabrini hosting inaugural ‘Philly Lax Cup’ for premier club, high school teams on Father’s Day Weekend

The Cavalier Lacrosse School will play host to the first annual “Philly Lax Cup” on Father’s Day Weekend at Cabrini College.

Participating in the event will be 12 of the premier club teams and 12 of the premier high school teams from the Philadelphia area.

The tournament will guarantee each team three games over the weekend, with a total of five possible. The games will begin at 5 p.m. on Friday evening, June 14. Each club team will be playing one game on this day. On Saturday, the club teams will play two games each. At the conclusion of these games, the top four teams will play in the semi-finals followed by the championship on the stadium field. This game will determine who will be crowned as the “Philly Lax Cup” Champion.

Starting Saturday night, the high school tournament will begin. Again each team will play three games over the weekend, with a total of five possible. The games will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday evening. Each team will play one game Saturday night. On Sunday, the teams will play a guaranteed two games. At the conclusion of these games, the top four teams will play in the semi-finals followed by the championship on the stadium field. This game will determine who will be crowned as the “Philly Lax Cup” Champion.
