Recapping Philly women on Division I teams ranked 11 through 20

Phillylacrosse.com spotlights the Philly grads playing on teams ranked heading into the college season. Today we highlight players on the teams ranked 11 through 20 in the Face-Off Yearbook preseason rankings for Division I.

11. Dartmouth – The Big Green is coached by Amy Patton (Unionville).

12. Virginia – Sophomore ATT Sloan Warren (Baldwin School, 26G, 12A) and sophomore ATT Jess Loizeaux (Clearview Regional, 8G) will be counted on heavily to lead the offense.

13. Georgetown – Junior Kelyn Freedman (Radnor, 19G, 30 DC) is a key returnee and junior midfielder Courtney Caputo (Springside) is looking for a starting spot. Freshmen midfielders Kristen Bandos (Notre Dame) and Natalie Miller (Radnor) are vying for time.

14. UMass – Freshmen midfielders Maddie Ward (Spring-Ford) and Nicole Troost (Shawnee) are vying for time.

15. Harvard – Junior defensive midfielder Alexa Buckley (Episcopal Academy, 16 GB) is a key returning starter.

16. Johns Hopkins – Senior defender Sammy Arbitman (Episcopal Academy, 14GB) is a starter down low and senior attack Courtney Schweizer (St. Mark’s, 16G) is a key on offense. Senior Katie Duffey (Lenape) is looking for time.

17. Towson – Senior midfielder Kelly Custer (Sun Valley) was an IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region second team selection who scored a team-high 35 goals in 2012. Freshman attack Michelle Gildea (Springfield-Delco) is vying for time.

18. Stony Brook – Sophomore midfielder Marina Mestres (Shawnee) is vying for time.

19. Boston College – Freshman midfielder Kara Magley (Council Rock North) is vying for time.

20. Albany Great – No Philly grads
