From Press Release
Global Lacrosse, LLC, has announced the formation of The National Blue Chip Elite – Girl’s Lacrosse Recruiting Camp to be held in June of 2013 at Lehigh University’s Mountaintop Athletic Complex, in Bethlehem.
The country’s top female high school lacrosse players will have the opportunity to attend the premier national recruiting camp for girls, where they can train and compete with the best of their peers. Players
will be evaluated and instructed by the finest women’s college lacrosse coaches in the country.
This will be a first class opportunity for girls’ lacrosse players and women’s college lacrosse coaches. The camp will be a unique, invitation only experience, offering a combination of skill sessions, professional level combine (speed, strength, quickness) and full games. The camp will attract the best girls’ lacrosse players throughout the country much like the recruiting camps that have been available to boys for many years.
The National Blue Chip Elite will be held June 24th to 26th, 2013, immediately following the National Draw Tournament. High School athletes entering their freshman, sophomore and junior years along with uncommitted seniors will be among those invited.
“Every player at our camp will have the opportunity to be coached and evaluated by a multitude of the country’s top women’s college lacrosse coaches in both individual and game situations,” said David Kotowski of Global Lacrosse. “Players and coaches will be treated in a manner similar to professional sports camps and combines.
“This type of program has been missing in girl’s lacrosse and we are committed to offering a program that will provide talented young players an opportunity to advance their skills.”
Any school’s head coach can attend, and if a head coach is unable to attend, an assistant coach can substitute but paid spots will be limited. Coaches receive lodging and meals, along with a daily stipend for coaching at the camp. Coaches serving as evaluators will be provided recruitment information related to the camp attendees along with a coach’s hospitality tent.
Coaches serving as camp counselors will have hotel accommodations in nearby Bethlehem. Morning camp sessions will include skills programs by position and a camp combine to measure speed, quickness and strength. Full games with referees will be held during afternoon and evening sessions to give coaches the opportunity to observe all of the players in real game situations against the best players.
