Garnet Valley junior midfield-attack Haley Warden has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at James Madison University.

Major lacrosse honors: Max Exposure All-Star Team 2012. Under Armor Underclassmen Team 2012 Philly. National Tournament Philly team 2 (2012). Starting Attack since freshman year, PIAA Two time State Championship 2011 & 2012. Honorable Mention All-Delco 2011 & 2012, Honorable Mention All-Central League 2011 & 2012, Philly Showcase 2011 & 2012 Fab 40.
Academic honors: Honor Roll, Jag of the Month, and Ambassador Award three times.
What will you major in/study? Undecided
Why did you choose JMU? “It is the perfect fit for me both academically and athletically. I loved the atmosphere, the campus, and all the coaches. I can’t wait to be a Duke Dog!”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Even though we lost a lot of seniors last year we have a strong group coming back. We plan to pick up right where we left off and continue to be a threat in the Central League and the State.”
Additional comments: “I would like to thank my Mom and Dad for supporting me throughout this whole process. I would also like to thank my coach since 3rd grade, Mrs. Coyne, who really helped develop me over the past 10 years and I couldn’t have been as successful as I have become without her. I would like to thank my previous high school coaches Kate Henwood, Amanda Kammes, and ChristyAnn Morello for coaching me my freshman and sophomore year and helping me develop and get through this process. Lastly, I would like to thank Jenny Duckenfield for helping me with this process and helping me improve over the summer.
