Archbishop Carroll junior midfield Margaret Filippelli has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Loyola University.

Why did you choose Loyola? “Once I visited Loyola I knew it was the place for me. The family atmosphere and team chemistry were exactly what I was looking for – not to mention that the coaches are great!
“Loyola has the academic and athletic standards I am looking for. Both of my sisters played there as well and I am excited to carry on the legacy! I couldn’t be happier with my decision!”
Outlook for your high school team? “I have a good feeling about this year. The chemistry and talent is there and we just have to capitalize on it. We hope to win the Catholic League for the thirteenth straight year and make an impact in our out of Conference schedule and in the State Tournament. We are all excited for this upcoming season!”
Additional Comments: “I would really like to thank my family. They have been a huge part of this. They have been my support system through it all and they are just as excited as I am about me joining the Greyhound family.
“I would also like to thank my club coaches Sue Frazer and JoAnn Yusko who have helped make this process all the more smooth and easy. Also my high school and club coach Lorraine Beers. She’s the one who has pushed me to play my best not only during the school year but during the summer season as well and I would really like to thank her. I would also like to thank my other coaches George Hopson, Jess Brophy, and Margie Garrity.
