Women’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year Carol Cantele will be the guest speaker when Agnes Irwin School holds an Athletics Open House on Saturday, November 17 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cantele, Assistant Athletic Director and Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Gettysburg College, is a Nether Providence (now Strath Haven) grad who serves as an Assistant Coach for the US National Lacrosse Team and guided her team to the 2011 NCAA Division III Championship.
She was named 2011 Coach of the Year by Inside Lacrosse and the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association. She also is a six-time Metro Region Coach of the Year.
Coach Cantele will talk about how athletics prepare young women for life after graduation.
