Phillie Elite teams excelled last weekend the Franklin & Marshall Fall Brawl.
The 2013/14 squad went 5-0 and earned the team title while the 2014/15 team went 2-1 in pool play and narrowly missed the playoff. The 2015/16 team played in the Varsity/Elite bracket also contested well in each match.
Details of the 2013/14 team:
Pillie Elite claimed Pool Play wins over Tri-State, Legacy (York, PA) and the Long Island Sting. In the semifinals it toppled SJ Shamrocks 2 and in the finals it defeated Shamrocks 1, which had toppled LI Express in the other semifinal.
Goalie Marc Poust (Hatboro Horsham) and defenseman Pat Sawyer (Germantown Academy) and Keith Cameron (Hatboro-Horsham) stood out while Colin Gavigan (Germantown Academy), Tommy Monahan (Wissahickon), Bennett Zaba (Holy Ghost Prep) and Sean McDonald (Holy Ghost Prep), Michael Rama (Upper Dublin) and Michael Rihm (La Salle) led on offense.
