Maple Zone boys’ recruit: Ursinus College gets commitment from Hillsborough (N.J.) senior attackman Fitzgerald

Hillsborough senior attackman Conor Fitzgerald has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Ursinus College.

What will you major in/study?
Undecided

Why did you choose the school? “I really liked the campus and team atmosphere at Ursinus. The coaches have been fantastic throughout the whole recruiting process and after my overnight, I knew it would be the place for me. I’m thrilled to get the chance to play for Coach (Jamie) Steele and the Ursinus coaching staff for the next four years.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “We lost a lot of seniors this past spring (16), but the group of guys returning are skilled and capable of doing great things this upcoming season. I have no doubt that my teammates and I will make this senior season one to remember.”

Other comments: “I want to say thanks to my parents and family for all of the support they have given me both on and off the field. I would also like to thank my high school Coach, (Mark) Wilson, for all of the help and support hes given me throughout my whole high school career.
