Carey High School (N.Y.) sophomore attack-midfielder Nick Spillane has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Penn State University.

Why did you choose PSU? “I chose Penn St because of the balance of academics and athletics. I knew once I stepped onto the Penn State campus that I would fit in perfectly with the players and the coaching staff.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next season? “Every year we look to compete for a County Championship. We return a lot of key players from last year’s team so we feel very confident going into the year.”
