The Villanova men’s lacrosse team announced a series of Fall Ball events in preparation for the upcoming 2013 season.
The Wildcats will participate in two events this October including the 6th Annual Nicholas Colleluori Fall Classic and a scrimmage versus Loyola, the 2012 NCAA National Champions, on October 13th in Baltimore, Md.
On Saturday, October 6th, the Wildcats will make the short trek for the 6th Annual Nicholas Colleluori Fall Men’s Lacrosse Classic at Ridley High School. The event features several prominent collegiate programs including Colgate, Lehigh, Hofstra, High Point, Mount St. Mary’s, St. Joseph’s, Robert Morris, Marquette, Michigan, Marist and Villanova. Games will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day with Hofstra taking on Villanova at 5 p.m. to conclude the Division I competition on Saturday.
Several tournament games will be streamed online via AccessLacrosse.com and tickets will be sold for $10 at the gate. Children under 10 are admitted free of charge.

Villanova will conclude its fall slate on Saturday, October 13th when they head to Baltimore to face the 2012 defending NCAA National Champions in Loyola for a scrimmage at the Ridley Athletic Complex at a time to be determined. The Greyhounds defeated Maryland 9-3 in the NCAA final to take the title for the first National Championship in the history of the program.
Villanova is coming off an 8-7 overall record and 4-2 BIG EAST slate in 2012. The 2013 squad returns 27 letterwinners including 2012 First Team All-BIG EAST selection Jack Rice (Baltimore, Md.) and Second Team All-BIG EAST honorees in Thomas Croonquist (North Caldwell, N.J.) and John LoCascio (Fairfield, N.J.).
Head Coach Michael Corrado welcomed the addition of 11 freshmen to the 2012-2013 squad who will look to make an immediate impact as they look towards the 2013 season.
