From Press Release

The Reading Rockets announced their roster for the upcoming Professional Lacrosse League season. The Rockets enter their first season of play with 21 players and two goaltenders on the main roster and four players and a goaltender on the practice squad.

“We have a great group of guys here and a lot of talent,” said Rockets coach Tom Slate. “We’re really looking forward to hitting the field and showing how competitive we can be.”

The foundation for success for any lacrosse team is its goaltending, and the Rockets boast a trio of solid goalies. The trio is headed by 6’4”, 188 pound Canadian Scotty Komer. The Toronto native comes to the Rockets as a veteran of Canadian box lacrosse leagues. Joining him in the crease will be Buffalo, NY native Findley Wilson. Big “Fins” has spent time in the Can-Am League, CLAX as well as the NLL. The third member of the goaltending trio is Philly-area native Chris Collins (Univ of Delaware, Drexel assistant coach).

Reading’s defense and transition group will have plenty of local flavor. Led by Philly-area natives Evan Swiker (6’3”, 220, Archbishop Ryan), Jim Forsythe (6’3”, 225, Henderson/Widener), Julian Maliszewski (5’10”, 210, Cabrini College) and former Philly Wings player Brett Moyer (6’, 190, Ridley).

Also on the back end are Josh Kacprzak (6’2”, 220) and Brandon Turner (5’9”, 190). The defense corps will be rounded out by Drexel University graduates Dana Wilber (6’, 190) and Andrew Collins (5’11”, 195). The transition group includes a pair of Rochester, NY natives in Ryan Maciaszek (6’1”, 215) and Jake Davis (6’, 175). Also in the group are locals Kevin Kaminski (6’2” 210, Strath Haven/Delaware), George Castle (6’1”, 180, Penn Charter), Rob Forster (6’1”, 195, La Salle) and Michael Adkins (6’2”, 220).

On the attack, the Rockets will be led by Canadians Travis Bland (5’10”, 185) and Brendan Muise (6’1”, 190) as well as veterans Dan Deckelbaum (6’, 200, Delaware), Justin Otto (6’2”, 205), Andrew Lazore (6’3”, 210) and Andrew Wasik (6’2”, 205). Named to the Rockets Practice Squad were runners Colton Vosburgh (Unionville), Jimmy Fey, Eric DiProspero (Unionville), Matt Cannone and Matt Toth (Coatesville/Neumann).

The Rockets open the season at home against the Jacksonville Bullies on Saturday, September 29th at 7:05 in the Sovereign Center. Season Tickets and single game seats are available at www.rocketslax.com and at the Sovereign Center Box Office.

The Reading Rockets are a professional indoor lacrosse organization in the Professional Lacrosse League (PLL). To learn more about the team, league, schedule or corporate partnership opportunities, contact the staff at (610) 314-7323 or log on to website.
