Fall Leagues

Coach Duck’s Sunday Fall Ball girls’ lacrosse leagues for high school and middle school teams. The high school league will be held on full-field turf fields at Shipley School, Cabrini College and Henderson High. Leagues run on Sundays from September 16th-October 28th, 2012. The team fee is $1200 (deposits are due by June 30) and the individual player fee is $90.

The Middle School League is for girls in grades 5/6 or 7/8. Games, 7v7, will be played at Harriton High. on Sundays from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The fee is $900 per Team or $100 per individual.

Clinics

Cradle Lacrosse, NXTsports’ educational program for the area’s youngest lacrosse players, is happy to release its Spring 2012 schedule of programs. Cradle Lacrosse is designed to teach basic lacrosse skills in a fun, energizing and supportive environment. All equipment is provided for the kids, and the curriculum is designed to teach the basics of lacrosse to youngsters in an age-appropriate and fun way. Over three-hundred kids have participated in Cradle Lacrosse over the last year.

ELAX Girls Lacrosse FALL SKILLS SESSIONS
Day/Time: Sundays between 12pm-3pm; Start Date: September 9, 2012
Location: United Sports-Downingtown, Pa; Ages: Elementary and Middle School
Divisions: Beginner 12pm-1pm; Developmental 1pm-2pm; Advanced 2pm-3pm
Each session will focus on a different set of skills and concepts, but all fundamental skills will be emphasized! Great for sharpening the essential skills needed to be a competitive lacrosse player!

Fall 2012 Envy Training, Clinics are for intermediate and advanced girls in 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th and 8th grade, West Goshen Community Park. Elevate your play this fall. Join the Envy Lacrosse staff this fall for lacrosse training and game play. You will be split into groups based on your age and skill level at the first clinic. You do not need to be a current Envy player to participate. Clinics will consist of the following: Dynamic Warm up, Team building activites, Speed and agility work outs, Stick Skills, Offense, Defense and Midfield drills, Goalie work outs and game situations.
Dates are on five Sundays: September 9th, 16th and 30th, October 7th and 21st

Ultimate Lacrosse’s Ultimate Scoopers Clinics Series, beginning September 12, at Harlingen Fields, Montgomery Township, NJ. The clinics are for players in grades 1 through 4, and will be held all Wednesday evenings at 5:30–6:30pm through October 17th. Sign-ups are for one week or all six weeks.

Part of the Ultimate Lacrosse coaching philosophy is to introduce girls to the sport at a young age, give them the training and skills they need to get the best from themselves, and then develop them into competitive players through middle school, high school, and at the college level.

Ultimate Lacrosse’s Ultimate Advantage Clinic Series, for 6 weeks at Harlingen Fields in Montgomery Township, NJ. All clinics will take place from 6–7 pm and cost $25 per session. These comprehensive clinic designed to help girls in 6th through 9th grades improve their fundamental skills and techniques and advance their understanding of game concepts and team play. All levels of middle school players will be challenged to reach their potential by our outstanding staff of coaches who are all dedicated teachers of the game. Each session will have a focus on general skills and then advance into specific skill training. We will hit on all aspects of the game (shooting, dodging, defense, attacking skills, feeding etc.)

Quaker City fall clinics at Harriton for girls in Grades 3 through 5. Sessions will be 1-2:30 p.m. on Saturdays starting on Sept 15 until Oct. 27. Registration and more info at Quakercitylacrosse.com.
Coaches are Harriton High’s George Dick, Laura King and Alex Shapiro. These instructional clinics emphasize the amount of touches each participant has with the ball. We will stress the development of the basic fundamentals: Cradling, Catching/throwing, Groundballs, Dodging, Shooting.

2013 Girls Lacrosse Holiday Clinics, Monday, January 21, 2013-MLK DAY, Monday, February 18, 2013-Presidents Day. Time: 9am-3pm-2, 3-hour sessions
Ages: Session 1-Elementary and Middle School-9am-12pm; Session 2-High School 12pm-3pm
These specialized clinic programs will feature specific skill development and game instruction in order to prepare players for the upcoming lacrosse season.

2012 Fall Classic Tournament, Friday, October 5- Sunday, October 7, United Sports-Downingtown, Pa
Age: Graduation years 2013-2019. Team Event! This tournament has it all; High School, Club, Middle School, and JV teams, along with NCAA Divisions I, II, and III Institutions playing together in the same tournament!

Lake-Lehman Fall Classic
7-on-7 lacrosse tournament for boys and girls. This 2nd Annual 7-on-7 tournament will be held on Sunday, November 4th at Lake-Lehman High School. Cost is just $240 per team. Proceeds will support the LLHS teams which are 100% self-funded. Lake-Lehman HS is located about one hour north of Allentown – just outside of Wilkes-Barre. Travel will be considered when assigning start times. There will be eight divisions are as follows:
Boys: U11, U13, U15, High School; Girls: Elementary, Jr. High, High School A, High School B. This tournament sold out last year. Reserve your team spot today.

Manheim Township Queen of the Turf Lacrosse Tournament, Saturday, Oct. 13 at Manheim Township Turf Fields, 9:45am – 3 pm. Format: Two Divisions– High School (9th – 12th grade) and Middle School (6th – 8th grade); All teams will play a minimum of 12 games (8 minutes per game). Concessions and vendors will be available all day. Tournament T-shirt available; fun festival atmosphere with music, dance contests, games, speed shooting contest and more.Click here for the event website.

The 4th Annual Care for the Cure Lacrosse Tournament, November 10 at Henderson High. The tourney features boys’ and girls’ high school brackets. The tourney raises money for cancer organizations on behalf of Henderson grad and Duquesne student-athlete Caroline ‘Care’ Cranston who lost her life in a battle with AML Leukemia on May 8th of 2010. The tournament has donated to the likes of Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Caroline Gallagher Cranston Memorial Fund, Headstrong Foundation, and the Be The Match Organization. Care for the Cure promotes a family atmosphere with vendors, silent auction items, a DJ and much more. The site features 2 turf fields, and 4 other plush grass fields.
