Radnor rising senior defenseman Tom Farnish has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at Furman University.
Tom Farnish log:

Tom Farnish
High School: Radnor
Graduation Year: 2013
Position: Defenseman
College Choice: Furman University (first year of NCAA play in 2014)
Club Affiliation: Mesa Fresh 2013
Major lacrosse honors: Captain for 2013; All-Central Honorable Mention, 2011; member state semifinalist, 2012
What will you major in/study? Economics
Why did you choose the school? “It has a great campus that is absolutely beautiful. I love coach (Richie) Meade. Radnor Coach (John) Begier said to me, ‘Hey, they are looking to start a new program.’ Coach Meade was a great coach at Navy for 27 years and I thought it would be a good opportunity to be part of something new and that one day I could go back and say I was on the first team.”
Outlook for 2013 HS season: “Our goal is the state championship. We fell a little bit short last year, but that’s what we are working for every day.”
Other comments: “I want to thank John Begier, (Mesa Fresh) coach John Sims and Gary Martin for making me play defense back in fifthe grade. I also was to thank Larry Disipio Sr. and Larry Disipio Jr.”
