Kelly Kubach log:

Kelly Kubach

High School: William Penn Charter

Graduation Year: 2013

Position: Defense

College Choice: University of Michigan

Club Affiliation: Ultimate Goal

Major lacrosse honors: Philly Showcase All-Star

What will you major in/study? Undecided

Why did you choose Michigan? “I chose University of Michigan because of it’s reputation for tradition and success. Michigan has everything I want in a college and the perfect balanced mixture of education and athletics.

“I am so excited that my class will be Michigan’s very first D1 women’s lacrosse team. That definitely will make my experience unique and unforgettable. I love Coach (Jennifer) Ulehla and (Jen) Valore who were very influential in my decision. Their passion and devotion to building Michigan’s new lacrosse program really stood out for me. I love everything about Michigan and am looking forward to my future there. GO BLUE”

HS outlook for 2013 season? “I’m really looking forward to next year’s season with the Penn Charter girls and coaches Channing Weymouth and Tori Small. Our team has a lot of potential and with our dedicated coaches on our side I think next season will be very successful and fun.”

Additional Comments: “I came into the recruiting process late with very little knowledge of how everything works, but Michele DeJuliis was there for me through it all. So I would like to especially thank her for all she has taught me and her devotion to me as a future college athlete.

“I would like to thank Julie Weiss, my club coach, who saw all my potential and helped me grow as a lacrosse player. Lastly I would like to thank my parents for their utmost dedication and belief in me. All of you were the key to my success and without your support and dedication I would not be where I am now.”
