Downingtown West senior goalie Alex Cuttic has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Drew University.

Alex Cuttic log:

Alex Cuttic

High School: Downingtown West High School

Graduating Year: 2012

Position: Goalie

College Choice: Drew University

What will you major in/study? Physics

Major lacrosse honors: Varsity division of Nike Blue Chip in Rhode Island (2011); Varsity goalie for a team that needed a goalie from Wisconsin at Champ Camp (2011); Champ Camp All-Star team (2011); PYLA for the past 4 summers and PYLA Elite team in 2011; 1st Team goalie, Ches-Mont League; Defensive MVP for Downingtown West

Service Project: Raising money to fund the Pulsera Project, which supported Nicaraguan orphanages.

Why did you choose Drew? “I chose Drew primarily due to the campus life. Every person wants to be friends and act kindly toward each other. It is very unique for a school to have that and it made me feel like I was already a student there.”

Thoughts on your final HS season? “When I look back on my last high school lacrosse season, I feel proud to have gotten as far as we did in the District One and Pennsylvania State Tournament, as well as completing an undefeated regular season. We had outstanding players with great coaches, and we put together a very memorable season. I could sense that we were going to do well, and through hard work and commitment, we did.”

Additional Comments: “I would like to thank my mom and dad, and all of my former coaches who encouraged me to work hard and be the best that I could become, both as a player and a person.”

Maple Zone Sports and Fitness Complex, the official sponsor for Phillylacrosse.com Boys’ Recruits, congratulates Alex Cuttic.
