Vail Shootout: Philly girls, Haverford School’s Blynn help teams open with wins in U-19 competition

Four Philly All-Americans enjoyed victorious days today as U-19 play began in the 40th Vail Shootout.

In the boys’ U-19 division, recent Haverford School All-American Henry Blynn had three goals and an assist to help the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) squad win two games. First, Blynn had a goal and an assist in a 12-6 victory over Team Ohio and then he scored twice in a 13-4 triumph over Western Colorado.

Meanwhile, defending champion and top-seeded Team Heather Leigh Albert opened with a 13-3 rout of Team Colorado as Katrina Geiger 9Haverford High) had five draw controls and a goal, defender Maddie Lynch (Springfield-Delco) had two caused turnovers and Kelly Cross (Upper Dublin) had an assist.
