Staff Report

Kevin Kaminski has burst onto the Major League Lacrosse scene in a big way.

The former Strath Haven and University of Delaware standout midfielder had not scored a goal and had played just one game since entering the league last year as the 22nd player chosen by the Boston Cannons. Three weeks ago was traded by the Chesapeake Bayhawks to the Charlotte Hounds.

Then, in only his second game with Charlotte he erupted for four goals (one a 2-pointer) to help expansion Charlotte (2-6) earn a 17-16 victory over Ohio on June 23.

Kaminski was named the Player of the Game and should be feeling as confident as ever as he gears for this Saturday’s home match with Chesapeake at 7 p.m.

At Delaware, Kaminski played in 71 games, recording 59 goals and 13 assists while adding 57 ground balls and 9 caused turnovers.

Kaminski was a two-time 1st Team All-Central League pick at Strat Haven Conference, and 2-time 1st Team All-State pick, as well as a US Lacrosse All-American as a senior. He also won three league and two district titles in football.
