The District 1 girls’ lacrosse tournament took a turn Saturday when top-seeded and former No. 2 Great Valley suffered its first loss, 10-9, to Conestoga. This Tuesday the semifinals take center stage with four teams from the Central League – Conestoga vs. Harriton-Springfield-Delco, and Garnet Valley vs. Radnor.

In New Jersey, No. 1 Moorestown continues to roll and plays a third-round game in the state tournament on Tuesday. The Quakers’ coach, Deanna Knobloch, became the all-time winningest girls’ coach in NJ history with 420 victories. her record of 420-29-4 is nothing short of miraculous.

This week’s rankings:

1, Moorestown (21-0) – The Quakers play Notre Dame (N.J.) Tuesday in the third round of the state playoffs. Coach Knobloch’s record in 23 season is insane – 420-29-4, with 10 Tournament of Champions titles. Prev: No. 1

2, Garnet Valley (20-1) – The Jaguars meet Radnor in the District 1 semifinals Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Henderson. Prev: No. 3

3, Harriton (18-3) – The Rams face Conestoga in the semifinals at 5 p.m. at Henderson. Prev: No. 5

4, Radnor (17-4) – The Red Raiders meet Garnet Valley in the District 1 semifinals Tuesday at Henderson at 7 p.m. Prev: No. 6

5, Shawnee (16-2) – The Renegades play Lenape Wednesday in the third round of the NJ state tournament. Prev: No. 4

6, Great Valley (20-1) – The Patriots can qualify for the state tourney by winning one of two playback games. They host Springfield-Delco Tuesday in a first-round playback at 4 p.m. Prev: No. 2

7, Conestoga (14-7) – The Pioneers pulled off the most noteworthy win of the year – maybe we should not call it an upset with the strength of the Central League – by downing Great Valley, 10-9, in the quarterfinals. They take on Harriton Tuesday in the semifinals at 5 p.m. Prev: No. 9

8, Notre Dame (18-2) – The Fighting Irish had perhaps their finest day of lacrosse in school history Thursday with their 18-11 conquest of Episcopal Academy – a win that gave them a share of their first Inter-Ac league title ever with EA. The two teams could meet again in the State Independent Schools tournament.

9, Springfield-Delco (17-4) – The Cougars have a playback game Tuesday at Great Valley at 4 p.m. Prev: No. 7

10. Strath Haven (13-8) – The Panthers have a playback Tuesday at home vs. Hatboro-Horsham at 4 p.m. Prev: No. 10
