Lehigh Valley Conference championships: Emmaus boys win, Nazareth girls down Emmaus

Travis Schmidt scored four goals and Zack Schleicher added three goals and an assist as visiting Emmaus whipped Nazareth, 13-4, tonight to win its fourth consecutive Lehigh Valley Conference boys’ lacrosse championship.

The Green Hornets (13-6) shut out Nazareth (13-6) the entire final three period after falling behind, 4-3. Marc Feldman added two goals and two assists and Drew Phillipes had two goals and an assist. Garrett Miers had seven saves and Emmaus won 14 of 17 faceoffs.

For Nazareth, Matt Tuerk had two goals and an assist.

Kaity Wiltraut led host paced Nazareth (13-7) with three goals while Natasha Capecci and Jordan Sutter had a pair while Rachel Strzelecki made 11 saves.

Aislinn Bryan had two goals and an assist for Emmaus (15-5).
