NCAA men’s lacrosse: Philly players will lead Dickinson in Division III tourney after Devils take Centennial Conference

The #13-ranked Dickinson College men’s lacrosse team makes its third straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament, hosting Kenyon College on Wednesday. Opening face-off is scheduled for 4:00 pm.

Philly players that helped Dickinson win the Centennial Conference championship are plentiful. Top row- Brian Frankenfield (Wissahickon), Matt Cherry (Radnor), Chris Pianko (CB West), Nolan Funchion (La Salle), Rich Craft (Episcopal Ac.), Collin Farrell (Malvern Prep), Andrew Salvitti (Salesianum School). Bottom row- George Robinson (Germantown Academy), Tyler White (Penn Charter), Grant Guyer (Penn Charter) Missing from picture are Will Scott (Emmaus), Reed Salmons (Wilmington Friends)

The Red Devils improved to 14-3 overall on Sunday, winning its second straight Centennial Conference title with an 11-6 win over #18-ranked Washington College. The Centennial earned three home games in the opening round as Washington entertains Goucher and Gettysburg plays host to Ohio Wesleyan.

Kenyon brings a 10-4 record into the tournament. The official start time will be determined on Monday.

The Red Devils advanced to the quarterfinals last season, falling to eventual national champion, Salisbury to finish the season 17-3. They will host an NCAA Tournament game for the third straight season as well.
