Girls’ lacrosse: Agnes Irwin gains first win on new artificial facility at Radnor Memorial Field

Campbell Crochiere had eight goals and pulled in 14 draw controls as host Agnes Irwin defeated Baldwin School, 19-12, Tuesday in a girls’ Inter-Ac League lacrosse game, the first game played on its newly opened artificial turf at Radnor Memorial Field on Matsonford Road in Radnor Township.

The victory was the first this year for the Owls, who have played all previous games on the road. Memorial Field will be a primary playing and practice field for AIS sports teams during the Campus Improvements Project.

Kelly Manning added four goals while Bridget Chakey and Emma Hill each added two. Emily Wetz made 11 saves in goal.

Arden Simone scored four goals for Baldwin while Kaitlin Hobson and Abby Andrews each scored two goals.
