Wilmington Friends junior attackman Sean Kirkpatrick (Glen Mills native) has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at the College of the Holy Cross.

Sean Kirkpatrick

High school: Wilmington Friends School (DE)

Graduation year: 2013

Position: Attack

College choice: College of the Holy Cross

Club affiliation:
Team 302

Major lacrosse honors: Philly Showcase Gait Fab 40, ESPN 2013 Watch List, Top 205, 2nd Team All-DISC conference

What will you major in/study: Economics

Why did you choose school:
“I chose Holy Cross because I felt like it was a great fit academically and I loved the campus and coaching staff. Coach (Jim) Morrissey and Coach (Thomas) Guadagnolo made me feel at home right when I stepped on the campus and I love their coaching style.”

Outlook for your high school team:
“Our team has a lot of potential and we need to continue to work hard in practice. Our goal is to make a run in the state tournament and make it to the championship game.”

Other comments: “I would like to first thank my family who has supported me throughout my lacrosse career, Coach Jake Rashkind (Wilmington Friends), Coaches Jay Motta and Keevin Galbraith (Team 302), as well as youth coaches Frank Urso, Jim Taviano, and Jim Snow. Also, I would like to thank Coach Morrissey.”
