Upper Dublin senior goalie Robert Moran has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Bryn Athyn College.

Robert Moran log:

Robert Moran

High school: Upper Dublin High School

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Goalie

College choice: Bryn Athyn College

Club affiliation: Select

Major lacrosse honors: Blue Chip 225, Philly Showcase

What will you major in/study: History/Secondary Education

Why did you choose Bryn Athyn? “I chose Bryn Athyn for educational reasons, and lacrosse is a big bonus, they have a great history program there and I like the small college feel. Also I think it will be cool to be part of a start-up program and watching it grow for the four years I am there.”

Other info: Bryn Athyn is being promoted from club to varsity status for the 2012-13 season.

What is your outlook for the upcoming season? “We have been working hard all off-season, and with Coach (J.P.) Banks, I believe that this year will be fun, and it will turn out to be what we make of it.”

Additional Comments: “This summer was my best summer in lacrosse and I would like to thank my teammates for that, and also my coaches, (Kevin) Gearhart and Coach (Chris) Jacobsen. Before this summer I did not really think I would play in the future, but they gave me the confidence to strive for it. Also my Mom and Dad for everything, whether it was driving, paying for, or just being there to cheer me on. I am very grateful for everything they have done.”
