Carlisle senior attackman/midfielder Skyler Moran has committed to play Division III lacrosse at Transylvania University (KY).

Skyler Moran log:

Skyer Moran

High school: Carlisle

Graduation year: 2012

Position: Attack/Midfield

College choice: Transylvania University, Ky.

Club affiliations: Central PA Dawgs and Midstate Elite

Major lacrosse honors: 3-time member Keystone Games – Capital Region. Dixie 150. Philly Showcase. Battle in the Boro Showcase. PIAA playoffs.

What will you major in/study: Computer Science

Why did you choose school: “Transylvania has an excellent academic reputation and is located in a great college town. It’s also exciting to be on the first TU lacrosse team. I look forward to playing for Coach (Terry) Justice. Overall, it was the best fit for me.”

Outlook for your high school team: “We are a really close team. Several of us have played together since the 4th grade. Team chemistry is strong and we have good coaching. We’ll be competitive throughout the season.”

Other Comments: “I’m thankful to have had many good coaches. At Carlisle, I’ve learned a lot from Coach Kidder, Coach Breschi, Coach Stewart, and Coach Henne. My travel teams also have been very good to me. Coach Newman, Coach Gatano, and Coach Waldron at the Central PA Dawgs have helped me tremendously. I’ve also enjoyed playing for and learning from Coach Webster with Midstate Elite. But most of all, I need to thank my family for the years of support.”
