Men’s recruit: Drexel gets commitment from Saint Dominic (NY) junior defenseman Kiernan

Saint Dominic (N.Y.) junior defenseman Jake Kiernan has committed to play Division I lacrosse at Drexel University.

Club affiliation: For the Love of the Game

Major lacrosse honors: 2011, 2010 NSCHSAA All-League Team

What will you major in/study: Undecided

Why did you choose Drexel? “I chose Drexel because I believe it is a great fit for me academically and athletically. The coaching staff made me feel at home, and it just felt right.”

What is your HS team’s outlook for the season? “We are hoping for a repeat CHSAA Title in the ‘A’ League. We lost a few starters but I think we can rally and get it done again.”

Additional comments: “I’d like to thank my Mom and Dad for helping me out with the recruiting process and being at all of my games. Also Coach (Mike) Winkoff, Coach (John) Lennon, Coach (Matt) O’Brien, and the FLG Coaches (Nessler, Kern, Hungerford, and Coscia).”
