Palm Beach Gardens (FL) senior midfielder Chase Elliott has made a verbal commitment to play Division I lacrosse at St. Joseph’s University.

Chase Elliott log:

Chase Elliott

High school: Palm Beach Gardens High School

Graduation year:
2012

Position: Midfield

College choice: Saint Joseph’s University

Club affiliations: Team 22, Florida Swashbucklers, Palm Beach Storm

Major lacrosse honors: Freshman year – 3rd Team all district; Sophomore year – 2nd team all district; Junior year -2nd team all district

What will you major in/study: Marketing

Why did you choose school: “I really like the coaches (head coach Taylor Wray, assistants Dan and Mike Keating) and where they are taking the program. I believe they are truly committed to turning St. Joe’s lacrosse around and making it very successful. I am excited about being part of this new chapter. In addition, St. Joe’s is an awesome academic opportunity and will equip me for the career I want to pursue.”

Outlook for your high school team: “This coming year will be a rebuilding year for us. We have had some players really work hard to come up to the varsity level and make a impact for us. That being said, I do believe we will surprise a lot of teams this year. As a captain I am looking forward to playing along side these men for my last year of high school lacrosse.”

Other comments: “I thank Jesus Christ for giving me the ability to play such a remarkable sport and my family for their overwhelming support and belief in me.

“I would also like to thank Justin Gilken, Shane Rye, Tom Dean, Andrew Bolger, Tim Genecco, R.J. Dawson, Casey Powell, Brian Cost, Neil McAdorey, Billy Allen, Jim Jacobs, Joe Gephart and my trainer Sean McCarthy. All these people have greatly impacted my life and have helped me get to where I am now.

“I plan to do big things at St. Joseph’s I want to make Florida lacrosse proud!”
