Ashbee rallied from a huge early lead and edged Lionville, 11-10, to claim the championship of the U13A division of the Chester County Lacrosse Association (CCLA) at United Sports in Downingtown.
Ashbee, in its first season as a member of the CCLA, rebounded from a 7-1 deficit to take an 11-8 lead before holding off a late Lionville charge for the thrilling victory.

En route to winning the championship, Ashbee defeated three teams that it lost to in the regular season. Ashbee downed Coventry, 12-4, in the opening round and West Chester, 9-3, in the semifinals to earn a spot in the championship.
The championship game was much like Ashbee’s season. It started out slowly, but finished strong. Ashbee fell behind, 7-1, early in the first half, but used a 10-1 run to seize the 11-8 advantage as long pole James “Moose” Odiorne went coast to coast late in the fourth quarter.
The Ashbee defense was led by goalie Ian Walsh, who made 10 saves. The scoring was led by Luke McCallion (3 goals, 2 assists, 3 face-offs), Kyle Scheuerle (3 goals, 1 assist, 4/6 FO), Eric Scheuerle (2 goals), William Haab (1 goal), and Odiorne (1 goal).
The Ashbee team consisted of: Hakan Atillasoy, TJ Arms, Griffen Ernst, William Haab, Evan Haas, Bernie Halfpenny, Spencer Henry, Brandon Kopen, Brendan Leonard, Luke McCallion, John Nostrant, James Odiorne, Keyveat Postell, Eric Scheuerle, Kyle Scheuerle, David Smith, Patrick Stewart, James Thatcher, Brian Vogt, John Wall and Ian Walsh.
The U13 A team was coached by Brian Vogt, Kurt Haab, John Nostrant, Joe Walsh and Ed McCallion.
