Harriton senior midfielder/defender Ally McLaughlin will be attending Pomona College (CA) where she will be playing Division III lacrosse and running cross country.

What will you major in/study? International Studies/Languages with a goal of going into Foreign Service.
Why did you choose school? “I was looking for a school that had very strong academics where I could also play multiple sports. Visiting Pomona, it was refreshing to see students able to challenge themselves academically in a very relaxed environment. All of the players and runners that we met on our visit were very serious students but also knew how to balance that load with sports/extra-curricular activities.”
What is your HS team’s outlook for next year? “We set a school record for wins, made states for the first time and shared the Central League title. Although we lost many valuable seniors, a majority of our team is back for another year. Hopefully, we can match or supersede our success from last year.”
Other comments: “I am thankful for both my parents and the support they have given me throughout all the years I have played lacrosse (and soccer, XC, and track!). I am also thankful specifically to Coach D (Harriton coach George Dick), who helped both the team and I to grow very successful in just a few years time. Lastly, I am thankful for everyone on my team for always pushing me to the next level.”
